The older two can be such a big help.
The "princesses" decided to grace us with her presence in the kitchen.
Then it was off to the park to burn off all the gingerbread cookies, as you can see from around Danielle's mouth she loves them too. The kids can help each other on the zip line now, instead of me doing it all. So nice.
On Saturday we went to a Christmas toy drop. We have done this for quite a few years and the kids always have tons of fun. There is lots of good food, they get a goody bag, balloons, face painting, and a free picture with Santa. It always amazes me at the gifts some people bring...if they don't have money to buy their own presents you would think to bring a toy that does not require more money to make it work. Toys that are only usable with batteries, or the oven bake that you have to buy the stuff to bake. I think then go practical and bring stuff that lasts or they need. It's good for the kids to realize that others have needs and life is not all about them.
Then in the evening, it was off to the Chilliwack parade with Grampa and Gramma. The kids had so much fun! (we did too) Danielle was priceless to watch, she sat in her chair and waved to everyone taking all the lights in and eating almost every bit of candy they got. These are all the pictures I took as my memory card was full, of the girls decked out and staying warm. I had them put their P.J.'s on underneath after their bath, so that way when they came home they were ready for bed. All these little ticks of the trade can surely help out.
